Best Taiwan Bubble Tea for Toppings 2026
When it comes to bubble tea, are you just as much about the toppings as the tea? Here are some of my fave BBT chains with cool or interesting toppings. And their tea won’t slack either.
A Nice Holiday • 一沐日
A Nice Holiday take a traditional approach to their flavours, advertising buckwheat, bamboo, and osmanthus among others. Their “house special jelly” is hun-kue (gardenia tapioca jelly), a night market favourite.
Try: “Tai-oan” milk tea, a light oolong tea with mugwort and bamboo notes that comes with mini kue balls. If you like fruit and floral flavours, try their osmanthus lemon juice with house special jelly.
Cha Nung • 水巷茶弄
Cha Nung’s signature series is all about toppings, like basil seed, kumquats, aloe, and aiyu (fig jelly). Their passionfruit tea comes with a healthy dose of passionfruit seeds, while their fresh milk comes with red bean, mung bean, taro, and in some stores, longan.
Try: Their signature white gourd (winter melon) tea with aiyu, collagen jelly, and basil seed. (If you have trypophobia get the version without basil seed.)
Dejeng (Oolong Tea Project) • 得正
Dejeng is known for their abundant cheese foam. However, they actually specialize in oolong tea, including a choice of light or dark roasts for tea purists. They have a smaller selection of topping-toppings, but do have a oolong tea jelly if you’re looking for something a little unique.
Try: Dark roasted oolong tea with cheese milk foam. If you’re avoiding a heavy caffeine hit, their light roasted oolong tea latte, made with fresh milk, still has a high quality oolong flavour.

Hechalou • 鶴茶樓
Hechalou’s unique toppings include sesame panna cotta, black tea jelly, and their almond and coffee jelly combo. Their signature black tea is a mix of Kenyan, Indian, and Ceylon black teas.
Try: Milk tea with black sesame panna cotta; or black tea with He-Ding black tea jelly. Their fruit teas are also decent.
Super Milk Tea • 顏太煮奶茶
Are you someone with topping decision paralysis? Super Milk Tea has you covered.
Try: The original milk tea with three toppings of your choice.
Tea Top • 第一味
Tea Top toppings include oolong tea jelly, traditional hun-kue (gardenia tapioca jelly), and a 3Q (three topping) combo, among many other choices.
Try: The fresh milk with red bean and hun-kue is 60% topping and 40% milk.
